Details

CLICK UP+ is a semi-automatic security device, the further development of the proven CLICK UP model, which has been on the market for seven years. It is specially designed for indoor and sport climbing and can be used with all dynamic ropes up to a diameter of 8.5-11 mm. The CLICK UP+ is light, compact and allows the first and second climbers to be supported on the top rope with both hands on the rope.

Parameters, certification and legislation

  • For use with custom dynamic ropes with a diameter of 8.5-11mm.
  • Hot-forged alloy arrester body
  • Custom arrester weight: 110g
  • PATENTEDSupplied and must be used together with the special HMS CONCEPT SGL HC carabiner
  • Conforms to EN 15151-2:2012 type 2 standard
  • UIAA
  • 100% quality control
  • Made in Italy

Why the new CLICK really is a PLUS UP+ is the previous version CLICK UP

  • Thanks to the new geometry of the belay body and carabiner storage, the feeding of the rope is now easier and smoother - PATENTED shape.
  • Easier to use when laying on top rope thanks to the new geometry of the side panels.
  • Now even safer - PATENTED V-Proof system, reduces the possibility of errors in the case. improper handling of the rope during braking.
  • New ergonomic shape.

Features inherited from CLICK UP+'s predecessor

  • CLICK UP is a semi-automatic belay that works without operating a lever or moving parts.
  • The rope in the protective grid is immediately automatically blocked by the HMS carabiner at the moment the climber falls. This allows the belay to catch the fall easily - onlythe free end of the rope has to be guided. At this moment, the HMS "CLICK-no" carabiner goes into a self-locking position.
  • Allows the belay to easily lower fellow climbers to the ground - just apply light pressure to the top of the belay and control the free end of the rope at the same time.
  • If you need to refasten after a fall or landing, simply release the belay by moving "UP" from you, returning the carabiner to the basic locking position. (The rope must not be loaded at this time.)
  • If it happens that the first climber suddenly pulls the rope so that it snaps on the expressway, it may happen that the braking HMS carabiner goes into the “CLICK-no” self-locking position. In this case, you simply push CLICK UP away from yourself with one hand. strong> and the HMS carabiner returns to the unbraked position and the climber can continue picking up the rope. Of course, the climber is securely fastened even during the operation.
  • CLICK UP is the only belay on the market that catches the fall of the climber even if the rope is inserted upside down. CLICK UP in this case does not work as a semi-automatic safety device, but as a classic safety bucket thanks to the V-shaped grooves in order to increase the braking effect.
V-resistant system

When belaying, certain processes are critical (for example, lifting the rope and giving it to the first climber or lifting the rope at the top rope), and in the event of a fall, a V-shaped angle must be maintained for the between two sides of a rope. Reducing this angle can affect the correct operation of the fuse when blocking the rope.

V-Proof System, with which the CLICK UP+ is equipped, reduces the error caused by the incorrect reduction of the V angle between the two strands of the rope.

It consists of a movable partition that facilitates the activation of the assisted braking system. If the hand side of the rope comes into contact with the bulkhead when the climber falls, this pressure contributes to the device twisting and subsequent blocking on the rope.

For use only with: the HMS CONCEPT SGL HC carabiner

CLICK UP+ is included and must be used in conjunction with the special HMS CONCEPT SGL HC wear-resistant anodized carabiner and the ACL system. (steel pen to prevent the carabiner from over-rotating), which prevents the carabiner from rotating and possibly overloading the secondary shaft.

Carabiner features:

  • High profile double T for excellent weight/strength ratio.
  • The nose of the carabiner does not have a beak, so it does not get caught when clicking and when disconnecting.
  • ACL system - steel pen that allows the carabiner to be attached to the eyelet of the seat, which fixes its position and thus prevents transverse loading carabiner.

Carabiner parameters:

  • Longitudinal load capacity (main shaft): 23 kN
  • Lateral load capacity (minor shaft): 10 kN
  • Longitudinal load capacity with open lock: 7 kN
  • Weight: 77 g
  • Size: 105x73 mm
  • Lock clearance: 21 mm
  • ACL

Carabiner certificate and legislation:

  • HU 12275:2013 -H
  • EN 362:2004-A/T
  • CE 0333
  • UIAA
  • Individually tested 100%
