ALPINE UP is the most comprehensive and versatile support and lowering device ever made. It was specially developed for climbing and can be used with half, double and single ropes. Its use is simple, intuitive and safe even in the event of an error. It is particularly advantageous that it allows self-locking flight and can be used in three different mounting modes depending on the terrain.

Individual braking methods
First climbing lock in CLICK UP mode (semi-automatic braking = with manual assistance):
- Thesemi-automatic belay works on the CLICK UP principle, but can also be used with a rope and twin or half rope. It works without the use of a lever or moving parts and allows you to catch a fall simply by holding the free end(s) of the rope in your hand.
- Suitable for protecting first climbers on multi-length sport routes, released with ropes.
- Suitable for attachment directly through the safety ring of the seat or directly into the rack.
- Allows the belay to be easily lower the fellow climbers to the ground - it is enough to apply slight pressure from the top side of the belay while keeping the free end of the rope under control.
- It is safe even if the ropes are inserted upside down! In this case, the ALPINE UP does not work as a semi-automatic fastener, but as a classic protective bucket, thanks to the V-shaped grooves that increase the braking effect.
- In this mode, it works as a self-locking lowering device. To descend, you have to release the plastic lever and press with your palm so that the stuck rope slips away. You can use your other hand to control the rate of descent as with other types of descent devices. When you release the rope, the ALPINE UP automatically locks and you stay hanging. This solution replaces the belay ropes, which are needed in case of rappelling on another support device.
Fixing the first climber in dynamic mode (manual belay = manual braking of the rope slip): p>
- It works on the principle of the classic bucket, suitable for dynamic fall prevention.
- After the first climber falls, the belay device does not block, and the breaker can reduce the severity of a caught fall by slipping the rope.
- Suitable for tackling first climbers on traditional multi-length routes when friends, staples, wedges are used as progressive belay and when automatic fall blocking is inadequate.
- The friction of the rope in the "V"-shaped grooves prevents the rope from slipping during the fall, just like the classic bucket.
- Enables the first climb. start or descend, just like with a classic bucket.
Hindering a second climber in GUIDE mode (self-locking mode):
- Independent and self-locking attachment of one or two second climbers.
SGL HC
ALPINE UP is included and must be used together with the given HMS CONCEPT SGL HC carabiner with wear-resistant anodizing and with the ACL system (steel pen to prevent the carabiner tipping over), which prevents the carabiner from turning and possible overloading of its small axis.
Carabiner features:
- High profile double T for excellent weight/strength ratio
- Light and shaped for a better grip.
- The nose of the carabiner does not have a tube to prevent it from getting caught. when clicking and detaching.
- ACL system - steel pen that allows the carabiner to be attached to the eye of the seat, which fixes the position of the seat and thus prevents the transverse load of the carabiner.
Carabiner parameters:
- Longitudinal load capacity (main shaft): 23 kN
- Lateral load capacity (minor shaft): 10 kN
- Longitudinal load capacity with open lock: 7 kN
- Weight: 77 g
- Size: 105x73 mm
- Lock clearance: 21 mm
- ACL
Carabiner certificate and legislation:
- HU 12275:2013 -H
- EN 362:2004-A/T
- CE 0333
- UIAA
- Individually tested 100%
